Data deletion instructions

This page explains how to request the deletion of personal data Meerkly holds about you, including data obtained through Facebook Login or any other connected platform (Google, Yelp, etc.).

1. Self-serve deletion (active accounts)

If you have an active Meerkly account, you can delete it yourself in two clicks:

  1. Log into your account at www.meerkly.ca/login.
  2. Go to Settings → Account security → Delete my account.
  3. Type SUPPRIMER to confirm and click Permanently delete.

This action is irreversible. Your account, businesses, locations, reviews, AI-generated responses and connected platform tokens (Facebook, Google, Yelp) are removed immediately. Any active Stripe subscription is automatically cancelled.

2. By email request (closed or inaccessible accounts)

If you no longer have access to your account, or if you want to delete data associated with a Facebook account that was used to sign in to Meerkly, send an email to privacy@meerkly.ca with:

  • The email address linked to your Meerkly account
  • The Facebook user ID or business page that was connected (if applicable)
  • A short statement: "I request the deletion of my personal data."

We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in accordance with Quebec's Loi 25 and PIPEDA.

3. What gets deleted

  • Your personal account information (name, email, phone)
  • All business profiles, locations and connected platforms
  • OAuth access tokens for Facebook, Google, and Yelp
  • Reviews and AI-generated responses linked to your account
  • Receptionist booking data (your Google Calendar connection, and the name and phone number of customers who booked appointments by phone)
  • Activity logs and usage history

Anonymized aggregate data (used for service-wide analytics) and records we are legally required to keep, for example invoicing data under Quebec/Canadian tax law, may be retained for the minimum legal period.

4. Revoking Facebook access only

If you only want to disconnect Meerkly from your Facebook account without deleting your Meerkly data, you can do so directly from Facebook:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Business Integrations.
  2. Find Meerkly in the list and click Remove.

Revoking access this way invalidates Meerkly's Facebook tokens but does not delete your Meerkly account.
